Baptism of Our Lord

Epiphany 1

Today we begin the season of Epiphany, a word that means “appearing” or “revealing.”  During this time of the year we see how Jesus is revealed to be so much more than a random carpenter’s son. As Jesus appears, we see exactly who he is and what he came to do as God’s Son, our Savior.

Our worship for three weeks will follow this pattern:

  1. Jesus Appears as the Anointed One
  2. Jesus Appears as the Lamb of God
  3. Jesus Appears as the Light in the Darkness
